Caron and Doug are fabulous hosts and details are very important to them. They have received nothing but rave reviews on the Casitas rentals and all that is offered to their guests.  Caron is the owner/designer of a women's accessories company and Doug is an Architect.  Casitas de Colores emits both of their love and talents.  



Caron and Doug chose this property because of it's fabulous location right downtown and near the beach.  It's really in the heartland of the active part of Santa Barbara which includes theater, great dining, wonderful museums and shopping.  From their location, you really don't need a car. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. 



Other unique benefits of the property include walking distance to the beach 1.5 miles.  There is also a free local trolley that takes you up and down State Street to the pier.  Casitas de Colores is located 8 minutes from the airport and 1 mile from the train station.   



Casitas de Colores boasts a beautiful succulent garden where you can lounge, read, and enjoy the plants and water features in the cozy furniture.  The grounds and accommodations are impeccably clean and the high standards kept by the owners are what make this place so special.

 

What to expect upon arrival:

We provide you with homemade bread upon arrival, locally roasted coffee, organic creamer and assorted teas. Our kitchen has your basic seasonings, stick of fresh butter, oils, flour and sugar for basic cooking needs. There are fluffy bathrobes, nice slippers, great linens and pillows on the bed and bath salts await your arrival for the ultimate relaxation and the perfect Santa Barbara stay. Our units are well appointed and you will need for nothing. We’ve been doing this since 2008 and have the very successful recipe for the perfect stay.

 

We have a fully stocked laundry room and you will have a parking pass for your car and there is always parking right out front of the unit. We have many bicycles for you to borrow.  They are set up to cruise around town all stocked with locks, night lights and helmets, really good fun to cruise around in the very popular “funk zone” down off lower State Street, enjoying some wine tasting and checking out the local vibe. We also have great portable beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. There is a Gas BBQ along with tongs and all that you need to cook the perfecto BBQ! Our units are all hardwired for Wi-Fi and the TV has more channels than anyone would ever need.
